Worth weighing

3 to weigh
  • Perceived value can be inconsistent — While many find the hotel good value, the price and service rating is the lowest category, and one guest reported a dispute over pay TV charges.
  • Limited dining options on site — Guests note that apart from breakfast, no other meals are provided on site, though there are restaurants nearby.
  • Decor is basic — The style is functional rather than stylish, with a fairly basic decor that some may find underwhelming for a four-star property.

“This is my favourite hotel in Milan. It's well-run and great value, with a quiet atmosphere and knowledgeable staff at reception and breakfast. The food is brilliant. The location is handy, close to public transport and plenty of dining and shopping options, including a shopping centre and nice restaurants and pizzerias. Check-in was friendly and we got a late check-out.”

8.4Verified guest

“The staff were very helpful and the facilities were excellent. It's easy to get to central Milan by tram, and the one-euro fare made it a fun way to travel.”

“The room was very spacious with a large bathroom. It was clean and well maintained.”

“Quiet and comfortable. We had a good night's sleep and a great breakfast. All you could ask for, really, since no other meals are provided.”

“The staff tried to overcharge me by insisting I'd watched pay TV, which wasn't true. It was very unpleasant to be charged for a service I didn't use or request.”

“Excellent location, easy to find and a sensible distance from Malpensa airport without needing a satnav. It's also a short drive from the centre of Milan, and there's a tram stop just outside the hotel. Paid parking is available, though street parking is easy if you follow the locals. If you want quick access to Milan and the Autostrada in a quieter district, this is definitely the place. Check-in and check-out were simple and pleasant, and the staff were all Italian. The bed was massive, the bathroom spacious and well equipped, and there was a walk-in wardrobe. The decor is fairly basic, but you're not paying for the extras you get with chains like Hilton. Why pay Hilton prices when you can get everything you need here in such a perfect location? The fairground exhibition area was an easy 8-minute drive away. Strongly recommended.”
